LOD Group

Screen shots of the diffent level of detail groups from 500-2500-500 poly limit seen in the top right hand side of each shot.

Modeling and texturing

These are a coupple of screen shots from when i was modeling the car.. i found the modeling allot more difficult and time consuming than i expected. i did have a few problems mainly not knowing with type of modeling i should use i.e converting the poly mesh to sub dss ect but after i checked the breif i realised the small polly could ment there couldnt be too much detail.
This is a piced of the model i converted to sub dees and played around with. i like the look of the sub d model it gives a much smoother look than polys without the need for smoothing.

Below are some images of the model once i had fixed if for 3d printing. this process took quite some time because of the way i had constructed the model with separate plaines they all had to be stitched together and checked to make sure they were not overlapping ect. The main concept i understood for getting the model printed was that there needed to be an inside and an outside like a solid cube,, this worked for me and my model printed out fine once i checked it in Netfab. In Netfab i had to fix some faces because they were facing the wrong way once i did this the model was fine

Digital model

Basic light setup to check model and texture.
.

.HDRI light scene

My 3d Model textured HDR light and rendered out then composed onto a photograph to present. I am pleased with the final outcome of my model I would have liked to have used a higher poly count but as this was my first atempt at modeling a car it was good to understand the concept.

3D Model

Printed 3D model.. I decided to paint the model once i had some pictures of it to give it another look. i am pleased with the model although i would have liked to have it a little larger so the details could be seen. I like the idea of being able to get models printed out like this i will defently be getting some more models printed for my show reel ect.
